• $140k – $180k + super

As a Team Lead in Contaminated Sites, you’ll step into a role that’s already primed for leadership – a high-performing group with strong mid-level capability, a fat pipeline of work, and clear endorsement from the national leadership to grow the NSW function your way.

You’re coming in to run the projects, mentor a team that genuinely wants guidance, and set the standard for technical excellence in Sydney. The business has reached the point where they need someone to take the reins – not just another Senior who can “do the work,” but someone who can guide the work, shape the delivery and be the anchor for the NSW CLM team.

The Role

You’ll oversee delivery across contaminated land assessments, remediation, risk and groundwater components – supported by a strong group of competent Seniors and mids, plus national specialists you can draw on anytime.

Your week will be a split of project direction, technical oversight, mentoring and client engagement – no corporate red tape, and no battles for resources.

What you’ll actually do

• Lead and mentor a team of mid–senior consultants across PSI, DSI, remediation and reporting
• Take technical ownership of key projects and elevate delivery standards
• Shape workflows, QA, and client strategy while staying involved technically
• Provide guidance and development pathways for grads and juniors
• Work closely with national technical specialists to deliver complex CLM projects
• Become the Sydney point-of-contact for major clients and internal teams
• Influence how the NSW team grows over the next 12–24 months

What you’ll bring

• 10+ years in contaminated land consulting
• Strong reporting, PM and client-facing experience
• Confidence steering a team – even if you haven’t held the title of “Lead” before
• Ability to balance delivery with mentoring and technical oversight
• Degree in Environmental Science/Engineering or similar
