Mobile Laboratory Manager – NATA Accredited Lab.
Asbestos, Contaminated Land, ENVIRONMENTAL
Brisbane, QLD
90 — 130
- $90,000 – $130,000 + training + growth opportunity
- Brisbane-based | Mobile NATA lab with property focus
Mobile Laboratory Manager / Field Technician, step into a role that breaks the usual lab vs field divide.
This business has just secured NATA accreditation and built out a fully equipped mobile laboratory – a decked-out vehicle ready to deliver accredited asbestos testing directly on-site. No more waiting days or weeks for results. This is about speed, accuracy and giving clients answers when they actually need them.
You’ll be central to that.
This is an opportunity to combine hands-on lab analysis with field-based sampling and client interaction. You’re not stuck behind glass, but you’re also not losing the technical depth you’ve built your career on. It’s both – and that’s what makes it interesting.
Built by experienced property professionals who’ve lived the frustration of delays, the model is simple: bring the lab to site, keep the quality high, and make decision-making faster for clients.
The Role
You’ll operate and own the mobile lab function across Brisbane and SEQ – balancing lab work, field sampling and client interaction.
- Operate a fully equipped mobile asbestos testing laboratory
- Conduct on-site sampling and analysis with fast turnaround times
- Maintain NATA accreditation standards and QA/QC processes
- Travel to client sites across property, construction and infrastructure
- Liaise directly with clients to explain results and next steps
- Refine workflows, reporting and testing processes as the service grows
- Contribute to scaling a new service offering from the ground up
Who You’ll Work With / Culture Fit
You’ll work directly with the founding team – operators from the property side who understand exactly why this service matters.
It’s a small, sharp team building something practical and commercially relevant. No layers, no unnecessary process – just a focus on delivering a better outcome for clients.
This will suit someone who’s comfortable working independently, enjoys variety in their day, and wants to be part of shaping how a service evolves – not just delivering within it.
What You’ll Bring
- NATA accreditation with asbestos identification experience
- Ability to pass the Proficiency Testing Australia (PTA) test
- Strong technical accuracy and attention to detail
- Interest in combining lab work with field-based sampling
- Confidence engaging with clients on-site
