Senior Environmental Consultant / Project Manager in Contaminated Land to step into a business that has spent the last few years quietly building one of the strongest project pipelines in Sydney.
The challenge isn’t winning work. It’s delivering it.
Around 90% of projects come from repeat clients and word of mouth referrals. The business has only recently started marketing externally, yet demand continues to outpace capacity. That’s why this role has been open since December.
You’ll join a consultancy where Contaminated Land Management makes up the majority of the business, supported by Occupational Hygiene services including asbestos, dust, vibration and hazardous materials work. The result is a diverse project mix and a steady stream of technically interesting work.
The Role
You’ll sit in the sweet spot between technical delivery and project leadership.
Managing projects, coordinating field teams, mentoring junior consultants and ensuring quality reporting, you’ll play a key role in helping the business continue to grow without compromising standards.
Projects include:
- Preliminary and Detailed Site Investigations (PSI / DSI)
- Waste Classification Assessments
- Groundwater and Soil Vapour Investigations
- Groundwater Monitoring Programs
- Multi-stage Rail and Infrastructure Projects
- Sydney Airport related works
- University Campus Developments
- Long-term Remediation Projects
- Environmental Monitoring and Assessment Programs
Groundwater experience is highly regarded given the current project pipeline.
You’ll work closely with Project Managers, Environmental Consultants and a large field team, allowing you to focus on project delivery rather than spending all your time in the field.
The Team & Culture
The leadership group has been deliberately strengthened over the past 12 months to support continued growth.
You’ll have access to experienced technical leaders, operational support and mentoring while still maintaining the autonomy to run your own projects.
The culture is one of the biggest reasons people stay.
- Young, energetic and highly collaborative team
- Friendly, down-to-earth environment
- Annual company trips (Tasmania this year)
- Regular social events and team catch-ups
- Focused, productive office environment
- Flexible and supportive leadership
Whilst there is flexibility available, the team genuinely enjoys being together and spends most of their time in the office collaborating and learning from one another.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years experience in Contaminated Land Management
- Experience managing projects and coordinating field teams
- Strong technical reporting skills
- PSI, DSI and remediation project experience
- Groundwater investigation experience highly desirable
Salary & Benefits
- $90,000 – $140,000 + Super
- Bi-Annual Bonus Program
- Senior PMs currently achieving up to $20,000 annually in bonuses
- 9-Day Fortnight available post-probation
