Senior Environmental Scientist in Contaminated Sites to join the Sydney team of a national Australian Environmental Consultancy who, over the last 5-10 years have firmly cemented their status through the technically challenging projects they take on & proprietary tech they’ve developed.

This team is looking for a solid Senior who is interested in taking on their proven pathway to Auditor, handling the Audit Assist work alongside multiple EPA Auditors in the Sydney office – including their Lead Auditor who is very well known across the Eastern seaboard.

The Consultancy:

This is a VERY technical consultancy who have built their reputation off the back of excellence in managing technically complex works & have developed a slew of market leading proprietary technology. For someone looking to really bolster their technical skills, this is the ultimate place to do it.

The sorts of projects you can expect:

• Types of Work: Mining, Urban Development / CLM, PFAS, Landfill & Waste (they are a go-to for many clients in this area), Remediation works & Investigations.
• Specifically: Strategic planning for Landfill & Waste, Cell Design & Construction, ESIs & Monitoring, Remediation Design & Validations + complex Expert Witness Exposure (great pipeline of Audit & expert witness work).
• Clients: Mining, Construction, Developers, Manufacturing, Community Centres, Government.
• Wider contaminated sites team to support and absorb the other project work.

This consultancy has a huge focus on collaboration & contribution which means two things: 1. every member of staff, no matter their level of experience is able to bring ideas to the table. 2. The Principals & State Director are on hand to knowledge share and help the team grow.

Who they’re looking for:

• 7 years or more and Audit Assist exposure puts you at the top of the pile
• Will consider training a 10yr with good technical background and smaller audit profile

Culturally they are a super laid-back firm, so this would suit someone who enjoys a more relaxed office atmosphere. They can offer flexible working arrangements.
