Environmental Consultant (Contaminated Land) for a Brisbane team looking for someone ready to bridge the gap between field-heavy juniors and fully fledged Project Managers.

This is a role for someone sitting around that 3–5 year mark – technically solid, but looking to step up into more responsibility.

The team doesn’t need another grad. They need someone who can start owning pieces of projects, guide juniors, and grow into a PM over the next few years.

The Role

You’ll support project delivery while gradually stepping into more responsibility across reporting, coordination and mentoring.

• Deliver PSI / DSI reporting and site investigations
• Support project management and client delivery
• Train and guide junior consultants and grads
• Transition from field-heavy work into office-based delivery
• Build capability towards full project management

Projects include:

• Port of Brisbane and airport-related works
• Resource and recovery / terminal projects
• Property transactions and regulatory support
• Infrastructure and development sites across QLD

Who You’ll Work With / Culture Fit

You’ll sit in a team of six – experienced seniors, a strong manager, and a couple of juniors.

This is a structured environment where people are developed properly. At 3 years, you’re learning. At 5 years, you’re running projects.

The office is currently in Murarrie (with a move closer to a train station planned), with a flexible but office-connected culture – around 3 days in.

What You’ll Bring

• 3–5 years’ experience in contaminated land consulting
• Solid foundation in PSI / DSI and reporting
• Keen to step into project management responsibilities
• Comfortable mentoring juniors
• Looking to reduce field time and grow into office delivery
