Solicitor (1 PQE) Construction Disputes & Litigation
Construction Law, LAW
Melbourne, VIC
The role sits within a well-established construction and development disputes team that advises developers, investors, builders and government bodies on contentious matters arising from major projects. The work spans construction and infrastructure disputes, development-related claims, lease disputes, joint venture disputes, and broader commercial litigation connected to large-scale developments.
Matters are typically run in the Supreme and Federal Courts, as well as through mediation, arbitration and structured multi-party dispute processes. The practice is known for its thoughtful, commercially grounded approach to disputes, often involving sensitive reputational and strategic considerations alongside technical legal issues.
You’ll work closely with senior litigators who are consistently recognised in leading legal directories for their disputes expertise. The team structure provides direct exposure to complex matters from an early stage, with strong mentoring and the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as your experience develops.
This role would suit a solicitor who enjoys technically complex construction disputes, values strong drafting and advocacy, and wants to build deeper capability within a stable, well-resourced team. The environment is collegiate and intellectually rigorous, with a genuine focus on doing the work well and backing people as they step up in responsibility.
