• $100k–$125k + super
• Sydney-based role, mix of field and office work
• BAM support available: work alongside four already accredited staff

As a Senior Terrestrial Ecologist, join a national team of 40+ Ecologists within a wider consultancy of 500. Projects are varied, but renewables (wind, solar, BESS) form the core workload, with additional work across transport infrastructure and local government. Depending on the season, you’ll be switching between fieldwork and office-based tasks.

You’ll support delivery of:

• Ecological Impact Assessments
• Vegetation Mapping
• Flora and Fauna Surveys
• Ecological Offsets

Why This Role?

This role strengthens the Sydney presence of a well-established NSW ecology team of 13, based across regional offices. You’ll be part of a national ecology team of over 30, with strong internal pathways for growth. You’ll work closely with an experienced and respected Principal Ecologist who will help you continue to develop your already growing skills base.

The Consultancy

This is a stable and growing national ecology function, supported by a large casual fieldwork pool and integrated into a broader environmental consulting team of 500. This isn’t a team in flux – it’s well led, collaborative, and focused.

What You’ll Need

• 2–3+ years of ecological consulting experience
• BAM accreditation welcome but not essential
• Willingness to do fieldwork and contribute to project delivery
