As a Senior Sustainability Consultant – Infrastructure, you’ll take the lead in shaping sustainability outcomes across Western Australia’s most transformative projects. Acting as the 2IC to the WA Sustainability Lead, you’ll be the on-the-ground presence in Perth -guiding local delivery, mentoring juniors and representing the business across the state’s key infrastructure programs.

This role blends strategy, delivery, and leadership. You’ll partner with Main Roads WA and other major agencies to embed sustainability from the earliest design stages through to construction – ensuring that environmental, social and carbon goals aren’t just tick-boxes, but built into how projects are delivered.

The Role

Day to day, you’ll take ownership of sustainability delivery across WA infrastructure projects while linking into the wider national team for consistency and support.

You’ll:

• Lead sustainability delivery across major road, port and rail projects in WA, with collaboration across QLD and NSW.
• Act as the Perth sustainability lead: mentoring juniors, coordinating projects, and engaging directly with clients.
• Manage ISCA (Infrastructure Sustainability Council) processes, from management plans to verifier engagement.
• Apply systems thinking and ISO14001-based management approaches to improve project delivery.
• Work closely with experts in carbon, climate resilience, circular economy and social value to integrate holistic outcomes.
• Support business development – preparing proposals and representing the team at client meetings and industry events.
• Produce technically robust reports and submissions with strong attention to detail in writing, formatting and presentation.

Experience: 

• ISAP accreditation (or ability to gain it quickly).
• 10+ years in sustainability or environmental consulting for infrastructure projects.
• Experience with ISCA frameworks, management systems, and client engagement.
• Perth-based, confident operating autonomously and engaging directly with clients.

Salary & Perks

• $180,000 – $190,000 + super
