As a Senior Environmental Scientist / Consultant, step into a role designed for someone who’s ready to make that jump, but hasn’t had the support to do it.

You’ll get guidance, structure, visibility and trust – the combination that actually makes you Senior, not just by title, but by skill. And you’ll be the person steering the Environmental offering in Sydney as the workload grows.

Seven Hills is home base, so if you’re local and sick of trekking into the city or the East every day, this will feel like a gift.

The Role

Join a busy Environmental / Contaminated Land function supporting a wider geotechnical group that is constantly bringing work through the door. You’ll cover PSI, DSI, groundwater, soil and landfill gas investigations across subdivisions, residential developments, road corridors and smaller industrial projects.

You’ll handle:

• Fieldwork and fieldwork supervision
• PSI & DSI delivery, groundwater and soil investigations
• Reporting (with support where you need it)
• Project management of mostly <$10k packages
• Direct liaison with clients across Western Sydney
• Step-by-step mentoring to get you operating as the Senior in Sydney

Who You’ll Work With:

The Sydney office runs lean in the Environmental space right now – one consultant stepping down to 3 days per week — which creates clear space for you to step up.

Meanwhile, Melbourne has a 6-person Environmental team (plus a 40–50 person geotechnical group) who will be your day-to-day support network. They’re practical, approachable and come from high-calibre, top-tier consulting backgrounds.

It’s a friendly, honest culture. No egos. No noise. Strong technical operators who enjoy backing people to grow.

Experience:

• 4–8 years in contaminated land / environmental consulting
• Experience with PSI/DSI, sampling, groundwater/soil investigations
• Competent report writing
• Comfortable taking on PM responsibility (or ready to learn it quickly)
• Looking for that next step where mentoring actually exists

Salary

$100,000 – $130,000 package depending on experience.
