A national Australia Consultancy is looking for a Principal Environmental Consultant to take the lead on business growth across their Contaminated Sites division in Sydney.

This is a commercial, client-facing role – perfect for someone who knows the contaminated land space, thrives on building relationships, and enjoys driving new opportunities through trusted networks and strategic partnerships.

You’ll be supported by a strong technical team (including three EPA Auditors) and a State Director handling delivery and people management – freeing you up to focus on what you do best: winning work, deepening client relationships, and shaping project pipelines.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading business development and client engagement across NSW
  • Leveraging your network and relationships to create new opportunities and partnerships
  • Driving growth in contaminated land and remediation projects
  • Collaborating with senior leaders to position for future success
  • Providing strategic input on bids, tenders, and client strategy

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong commercial acumen and client development experience
  • Deep understanding of the contaminated land and remediation market
  • Established relationships across infrastructure, development, or government sectors
  • Confidence influencing business growth within a technical consultancy environment
