Environmental Consultant, CLM

Contaminated Land, ENVIRONMENTAL

Sydney, NSW

90 — 110

  • $80k – $110k + super

As an Environmental Consultant in Contaminated Sites, join a Sydney team that’s just brought in two heavy-hitting Principals – meaning now is the perfect time to slot in underneath strong leadership, get hands-on with meaningful project work, and accelerate your technical development quickly.

This isn’t a “junior stuck on sampling forever” type of role. You’ll be working directly with Principals who are deeply technical, highly respected in the market, and genuinely invested in building the right support around them. If you’ve been wanting more guidance, more exposure to complex problems, and a clear path to becoming a strong Senior – this is that environment.

The Role

You’ll be supporting delivery on investigations, remediation, groundwater and risk-related work across a broad mix of government, energy, infrastructure and development projects. The variety and technical depth here means you won’t get pigeonholed.

What you’ll actually do

  • Deliver PSI + DSI programs, sampling and contractor supervision
  • Prepare technical reporting with Principal-level review and mentoring
  • Assist in remediation design, implementation and validation activities
  • Work across groundwater, vapour, waste classification and risk components
  • Support PM functions: scopes, budgets, communication with clients
  • Learn directly from senior technical leads with decades of expertise
  • Build confidence quickly across both field and office work

Who you’ll work with / culture

Two highly capable Principals who’ve joined to drive the next phase of growth — they’re mentoring-focused, technically sharp and want people to grow with them.
The wider team is relaxed, supportive and quality-driven, with juniors through to Principals who collaborate well and enjoy sharing knowledge. Great Sydney office environment with flexibility as you settle in.

What you’ll bring

  • 1–4 years in contaminated land consulting
  • Competence in fieldwork + early-stage report writing
  • Strong interest in developing technically
  • Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or similar
  • A genuine appetite to learn from senior operators
