This position has been established to support the continued growth of the firm’s Canberra office and increasing client demand across employment, industrial relations, and workplace safety matters. You’ll work directly with a highly regarded Partner who is consistently recognised among the country’s leading employment lawyers and known for her supportive and hands-on approach to mentoring.

The team advises a diverse range of Commonwealth Government departments and agencies, as well as private sector employers. You’ll work across employment advisory and litigation, workplace investigations, industrial relations disputes, workplace safety, and compliance. The role also involves preparing advices, contracts, and settlement agreements, appearing before tribunals and courts, and instructing counsel on complex and sensitive matters.

The Canberra office is small but growing, giving you the rare chance to contribute to the development of a new team culture while benefiting from the backing of a large national practice. You’ll be supported by senior employment lawyers across the country and encouraged to take ownership of your matters early, with plenty of scope to develop advocacy and client relationship skills.
