Director – Commercial Valuations is an opportunity to step into a genuine leadership role without sacrificing your connection to valuation work.

This team already has the foundations in place. A group of 8–10 valuers, two Team Leaders, established clients, strong market coverage and some of the best systems in the industry. The focus here is helping drive performance, supporting people and continuing to build on an already successful operation.

You’ll work closely with senior leadership, taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Sydney commercial valuations business while the wider leadership team focuses on national initiatives, automation, QA and operational efficiencies.

The team predominantly services the sub-$10m market across Greater Sydney, however you’ll also have access to larger commercial assets, residential development projects, specialised assets and going concern valuations where your experience can add value.

The Role:

You’ll balance leadership, client management and valuation expertise while helping shape the future direction of the Sydney business.

• Lead and mentor a team of 8–10 Commercial Valuers
• Directly manage two Team Leaders
• Support performance, development and succession planning
• Maintain and grow key client relationships
• Deliver and review commercial valuation work across office, industrial and retail assets
• Contribute to development, specialised asset and going concern valuations
• Support operational performance and team efficiency initiatives
• Work alongside senior leadership to execute growth strategies across Greater Sydney
• Provide technical guidance and quality oversight across the team

This is a business that has invested heavily in systems, automation and compliance, allowing Valuers and Leaders to spend more time delivering outcomes and less time fighting administration.

You’ll inherit a well-established team covering Greater Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong and Western Sydney, supported by industry-leading technology and operational infrastructure.

For an experienced Commercial Valuer looking to move into a broader leadership role, or an existing Director wanting stronger support and systems around them, this presents a compelling opportunity.

Experience:

• CPV qualification
• Strong Commercial Valuation experience across office, industrial and retail assets
• Previous leadership, management or mentoring experience
• Strong client relationship skills
• Sound commercial judgement
• Ability to manage both people and performance
• Knowledge of the Greater Sydney commercial market

Salary Options:

Option 1

• $175,000 – $225,000 incl. Super
• Bonus structure of 1.6x with 40% allocation recognising operational and client management responsibilities

Option 2

• Flat 15% commission model
