As a Commercial Director in Melbourne, you’ll step into a well-run Middle Markets team with real momentum behind it. The current leader has built a strong, profitable portfolio (~$2.5–3m annually) but the next phase of growth needs someone who can drive strategy, strengthen panel relationships, and unlock the team’s full potential.

There’s a genuine equity opportunity here – created by a partner selling down their stake. This isn’t theoretical “maybe one day” equity. It’s active, available, and openly on the table for the right hire.

If you’re commercially sharp, connected with key panel managers, and ready to build something that’s truly yours, this is the role.

The Role

You’ll take charge of the Commercial Valuations function across retail, industrial, office and development assets, working closely with an already profitable team that has work in play but needs a strategic leader to expand its reach.

You will:

  • Strengthen and expand panel connections across major lenders
  • Oversee valuation delivery across mortgage, litigation, expert witness, taxation, acquisitions and asset management
  • Grow the existing valuation team – they’re busy, capable, and need a leader with capacity
  • Drive revenue growth and operational improvement as equity transitions become available
  • Represent the business for major commercial clients, with autonomy to shape direction

What You’ll Bring

  • 8+ years in Commercial Valuations
  • AAPI / CPV
  • Strong existing panel relationships or reputation with bank valuation managers
  • Ability to lead, mentor and build a sustainable team
  • Commercial mindset with appetite for equity and long-term partnership
