The team structure is currently hourglass-shaped, with several of Melbourne’s leading Property Law Partners and SCs, and a large team of Associates and Solicitors, creating a clear opportunity at the Senior Associate level to step into a leadership position within a top-tier Property Law team.

The role involves advising on $Bn+ property transactions and developments, with significant responsibility across complex, high-value matters. It combines hands-on involvement in major deals with a strong focus on mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to the ongoing development of long-standing client relationships.

Unlike many top-tier Property teams that primarily support Corporate practices, this group operates as a core revenue driver and a key offering of the firm, with a diverse client base spanning institutional investors, developers, REITs, large private corporates, and ultra-high-net-worth property owners.

The work is broad and technically demanding, covering major commercial and residential developments as well as large-scale, nationally significant projects. This includes urban regeneration and public infrastructure developments, major hotel and resort portfolios, billion-dollar hospital portfolios, large retail centres, and build-to-rent and build-to-rent-to-own projects.
