The core need is for an Associate with experience in Personal Injury. That said, this is a fairly broad insurance practice covering Public Liability and Property Damage (Liability & Recoveries), and we are happy to shape this role depending on your experience and interests.

On the personal injury side, the work coming through the practice includes a mix of self-insured and private insurer public liability claims. Several of the current Lawyers in the team came from Workers Comp, CTP or Plaintiff PI backgrounds, and we are happy to look at candidates with great attitudes coming from those areas.

For those interested in Property Damage work, this can be incorporated either by running your own files or by providing support to the Special Counsel and Partners on their more complex and higher-quantum matters. These can include fire and water damage claims, defective building works, construction liability and indemnity disputes, catastrophic injuries and class actions.

This will suit a lawyer who is confident managing matters end-to-end, with a strong understanding of liability, quantum and client management. You’ll be trusted to run files your way, with an open door to Partners and SCs to bounce off. Alongside your own files, you’ll have consistent exposure to more technical work, providing the chance to deepen your experience across higher-value and more complex disputes.
