The role sits within a busy corporate team advising on complex mid-market and upper mid-market transactions for a sophisticated client base.

The work spans private and public M&A, strategic investments and joint ventures, acting for corporations, private equity sponsors, founders and management teams. Matters are varied and hands-on, with exposure across sectors including technology, health and mining, and a steady pipeline of transactions rather than one-off deals.

What truly differentiates this role is the structure of the Melbourne team. It is intentionally senior-heavy, which means matters are genuinely partner-led and senior associates are closely involved in deal strategy, negotiations and client advice. You’ll work directly with senior practitioners, take meaningful responsibility for transactions, and have your judgement trusted early.
