Special Counsel – Medical Negligence

We are offering an exclusive and unique opportunity for a Special Counsel to oversee interesting medical negligence matters with a primary focus on people leadership rather than billable hours.

This position is perfect for a Special Counsel seeking a better work-life balance.

There will be a steady stream of guaranteed work coming through, eliminating the need to seek out any new business.

You will directly manage and mentor a team of 4 Associates & Senior Associates and oversee the work of Lawyers from other practices as they tap in to handle matters when there is overflow. You will also have a small file load for yourself, with the freedom to pick and choose which matters you want to run or pass on to others.

You’ll benefit from no billable hours target and on average a 38-hour work week. The firm values quality of work, customer, and internal feedback over billable hours.

Experience in defendant medical negligence or health is preferred; however, we are open to candidates with backgrounds in personal injury or public liability.

This is an excellent chance to hone your leadership skills. We welcome those who have mentored teams and are ready to step into a formal management role.
