This is a unique opportunity for a Senior Associate or Special Counsel level Family Lawyer who wants to step up their career progression and assume responsibility for running a Family Law practice.

This is a full-service national law firm in the CBD with offices throughout Mel, Syd, Bris and Perth. They have 10+ Family Lawyers in Melbourne who focus on more complex financial and property settlements.

There is a strong client base of HNWIs in Sydney, and the Melbourne team is currently servicing all the Family Law files. We are looking for a specialist Family Lawyer to come on board and take over the existing files and client base, and to drive the progression of the practice.

You will be supported in this role from several angles: the head of Litigation in Sydney is a strong leader and will provide a great level of mentoring for your development in ‘practice management’ aspects of managing clients, delegating work, building relationships etc. There is a very experienced admin team to help you get through the grunt work on files, and the Family Law team in Melbourne will be there to lean on with overflow work, and to collaborate with on matters.

This is a fantastic offering for an experienced Family Lawyer who has aspirations for Partnership and wants to learn the non-legal skills required to get there.
