This is a great opportunity for a Senior Associate / Special Counsel to join a team led by a Partner who is not only a jack of all trades but a master of them too. His practice covers an impressive range of insurance lines, including personal injury, public liability, product liability, construction liability, ISR, and financial sector professional indemnity. His practice includes first-party insurance claims, several large-scale class actions and solicitor negligence.

The practice is heavily involved in handling high-stakes projects with major London market insurers, several local insurers, and large self-insureds, including one of the largest construction companies in the country. You’ll take on high-profile matters, including a $140M and an $85M claim, both with hearings scheduled for this year. You’ll also benefit from the Partner’s long-standing industry relationships, which he has cultivated through his experience at previous firms.

While the Partner’s practice is diverse, there is an opportunity for you to specialise in construction or expand your expertise across all the insurance lines he practices from property damage and personal injury to complex recovery issues involving multiple contractors and indemnity clauses. Additionally, there are opportunities to engage in commercial disputes, such as solicitor negligence, which offers higher rates than typical insurance work.

This role is ideal for someone who is looking to take on a file load of significant high-level matters independently. You’ll be part of a team that includes several SA’s and SC’s allowing you to focus on running substantial cases without the responsibility of managing juniors.
