Principal Ecologist for an employee owned and nurtured Australian consultancy with a genuine focus on balance and looking after its staff. Just a few of the policies staff enjoy include:

The Role:

This position is ideal for someone who is commercially driven & wants to make their mark upon a company with a great reputation but so much potential to go further.

Ideally you can run down a lead, manage proposals & help build the team in NSW, immediately bringing on 1-2 commercially minded ecologists + another 1-2 technically focused Ecologists.

With a National team of over 160 people, this team is in maturing phase and to get to the next level they want to bring in commercially driven Ecologists ideally from the larger Engineering firms who can help navigate and steer this direction.

There are so many parts to leverage, play with, engage with, utilise that will make your future a fun one to say the least!

Current Projects:

  • A firm ‘no coal, no csg’ stance.
  • Have plenty of work – Approvals, renewables (>50% is large scale renewables projects), Infrastructure Part 5 work, council work, Sydney Water, transport – mostly development. Plenty of State Significant projects.
  • Strong reputation in NSW, QLD and VIC across Ecology, Heritage, Planning and Spatial

Salary + Benefits:

  • $150,000 – $175,000 + super + performance bonus.
  • Paid Rest Day every QTR, employee assistance plan (counselling), Paternity leave full pay for 22 weeks.
  • Extra Leave purchasing scheme.
  • Willing to consider relocation assistance and any other commercial incentives to get the right person.

Experience: 

  • Ideally 10+ years in consulting Ecology.
  • BAM accredited would be great, but willing to look beyond that and pay for the training if they have the requisite experience.
  • Local NSW experience is a must.
